Jordan's Great Orchestra Adventure

The Present Music Ensemble will perform with Gabriel Prokofiev, founder of the Nonclassical record label and the grandson of  the great Sergei Prokofiev. Gabriel Prokofiev has gained wide attention in classical circles for his Concerto for Turntables and Orchestra which will be performed at the season opener with DJ Madhatter on the turntable. In addition, this will be Phillip Bush’s final concert with the group. He's retiring from PM after 15 seasons as its keyboardist/pianist and will perform the György Ligeti piano concerto for his farewell  performance.

Gabriel Prokofiev
Gabriel Prokofiev is a London-based composer, producer, and founder of the Nonclassical record label.

  • Studied music and electroacoustic composition at Birmingham and York Universities

Phillip Bush

He makes his home in the Old Shandon neighborhood of Columbia, South Carolina, with his wife, pianist Lynn Kompass, and their part-Siberian-Husky, Ruby.
