Singer, composer and electronic instrument performer, Amy X Neuburg, bridges the boundaries between classical, experimental and popular music. Her wildly entertaining 'avant-cabaret' songs combine her interests in language and theater, expressive use of music technology, and exploration of multiple genres using the many colors of her four-octave vocal range. Neuburg will premiere a new piece for piano with live looping and voice that responds to a song for voice and piano that was written by Neuburg in 2001. Present Music will join Neuburg for several new arrangements of songs from her Secret Language of Subways song cycle. (Journal Sentinel Review from 2007 PM performance) The Present Music Ensemble will also perform Kamran Ince's new quartet, Far Variations.

Amy X Neuburg will perform a brief set at the Milwaukee Art Museum's Lakefront Festival of the Arts on Friday, June 17 between 6-7pm in the Milwaukee Magazine Wine Garden. Performance is free with festival admission.
